A Spring Makeover for Your Kitchen!

Spring is a great time for a makeover, for people and for kitchens! Begin with a thorough cleaning–clear and wipe out all the cupboards and drawers. It helps to work with a checklist so you don't forget any appliances or bypass or any of those hidden spots.

Fresh color is perfect for a new look this spring. It's easy–just brush on a coat of paint. Choose a color to add warmth and energy, or try bold or contrasting colors for a modern look.

Boring backsplash dragging your kitchen down? Make it into something unusual–maybe even a focal point! Or, for something really different, remove your cabinet doors, then paint the inside of your cupboards a dramatic new color! Such a creative way to show off your favorite dishes.

Labels for jars and containers are the perfect way to add organization and ease of use to your cupboards this spring! We have some super cute labels made just for this! Chalkboard vinyl was recently added to our website and makes for super cute container labels!

Change Up Your Child's Room Decor

http://www.walldecorplusmore.com/children-wall-decals-for-decor/

Any time is a great time to change up your child's room. You can even get ideas from your children themselves! Including them increases their interest, and might even result in a tidier room! That's a Win/Win!

As a child grows, his or her tastes change. Choose decor that's adaptable. Do your children share a room? Make sure each child has a say in the decor choices.

Toy storage is a basic need in a child's room. Low shelves are easier to reach at playtime and cleanup time. Separate containers for different kinds of toys help keep order. Label each container with a picture. Less toys means less clutter, and more room to play.

Consider their hobbies and interests when choosing a theme for children's room decor. Try sports, music, art, or animals.

Paint colors can carry through your theme. Include your child's favorite color. Paint is easy to change later, and color can completely change the mood of a child's room.

Accessories also carry through the theme. Choose easy-to-clean textiles for rugs, pillows, bedding, and curtains. Avoid pale solids that will soil easily. Prints are fun and hide a lot!

Wall stickers are easy to apply and remove. Plus they're unbreakable and don't need washing or dusting. Wall decals come in a big array of shapes, colors, and themes. What an easy way to change things up in your child's room!

Your Boy's Bedroom: A Special Place He'll Enjoy

Here are some ideas for making your boy's bedroom into a special place that he'll enjoy every day. A room that reflects who he is–and that contains all his cool "stuff."

To start, consider how he uses his room: for playing? for computer time or video games with friends? Maybe it's just a quiet place to sleep? Or is his room multi-functional?

Nothing freshens a space like color! What are his favorites? Even if you can't paint the walls, you can bring in color with bedding, lamps, and other decor–like wall decals! Then, consider his interests. If he likes cars (or if he just wants to keep sister out of his room!) check out this colorful "Boys Only" wall sticker. How about all that "stuff" he collects? Baseball hats, trains, rocks, shells, model planes, and action figures make great displays on walls or in clear containers. He'll enjoy being surrounded by his special things.

Keep your boy's room makeover within your budget. Shop at your local thrift shops or buy at rummage/garage sales. You can repurpose an old dresser with a fresh coat of paint. Add special drawer pulls for a unique touch (nautical, cars, animals)–lots of fun ways to customize that old dresser.
